Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture assists in balancing the flow of the energy systems to restore balance and promote health in a complete wellness system.

Although it is most recognized for pain management, acupuncture is an effective complimentary treatment for many of today's common ailments including digestive complaints, Stress management, Fertility concerns, Weight management, Trauma and addiction support.

Your initial consultation will cover a variety of questions, evaluating your wellness in a holistic fashion.  We will look at your energy systems, your digestive system and  your mental emotional systems in order to build an individualized treatment plan to get you back on track with your Health and Wellness. 

Once you have had your initial consultation an individualized treatment plan will be suggested to get you back on track with your Health and Wellness goals.

Therapeutic Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is the most common style of massage for people who have chronic pain, tension, limited flexibility, sports injuries, stress or posture issues.  Deep tissue massage uses firmer pressure and slower strokes to assist in releasing deeper layers of muscle.

Deep Tissue Massage

This Massage therapy and Acupuncture option is perfect for people who are interested in having the main portion of their treatment be massage based, but would like the added benefit of Acupuncture to be incorporated.  

*These treatments are done by a Registered Massage Therapist with acupuncture training whereas they are able to add acupuncture to their treatments.  These are billed as Massage therapy on your plan. 
**If you wish to bill your medical plan under Acupuncture, you will have to choose acupuncture as your treatment option and see our registered Acupuncturist.

Massage/Acupuncture Treatment (Billed as Massage)

Cupping massage uses small plastic cups, placed on the body with a gentle suction.  This type of treatment is effective in promoting blood flow, releasing fascia and trigger points.  It is also used in traditional acupuncture treatments to stimulate acupuncture points and remove stagnation.  It can be a more gentle approach to releasing deep tissue for those who prefer less pressure. 
 
*Note: Cupping can leave marks on the skin but they are harmless and will dissipate over time.

Cupping Massage

Hot Stone Massage uses heated stones to warm the deeper layers of muscle offering added therapeutic benefit to stiff and sore muscles.  It is used along with other massage styles, the hot stones help to promote a deeper sense of relaxation and healing.  A Hot Stone Massage can be ideal for clients who prefer a more relaxing style of massage or for those who prefer less pressure during treatment.

90 Minute Massage Therapy

Passive stretching is amazing on its own or in addition to any pain management program.  It allows for passive stretching of tight hips, back, and shoulders providing significant tension relief as well as assistance in promoting range of motion.

Table Thai Yoga Massage offers the benefits of yoga-like stretching, profound relaxation and energy work to the comforts of a massage table.  

This modality is beneficial to a variety of clients including athletes, the elderly, people who are unable to practice traditional yoga due to physical limitations, and those who simply prefer to be treated on a table.

The recipient remains fully clothed and resting on a traditional-style massage table so please dress comfortably.

Reflexology

Naturopathic Counselling Sessions are heart centered & trauma informed.  
This type of treatment is focused in providing client's with an understanding of their mind, body, & spirit.  They are centered around the intentions of teaching various trauma-informed techniques, strategies, & practices to help heal past traumas by regulating the nervous system.  Clients will learn more about their own responses when triggered (fight, flight, fawn, freeze trauma response), and work towards healing their nervous system.  ​

Sessions may include individualized teachings on breathwork, meditation, grounding or may also include applied kinesiology or Karuna Reiki.

Naturopathic Holistic Counselling

Using gentle stimulation on acupuncture points combined with Reiki to balance out Meridians and Chakras and promote natural healing.

*This is not traditional acupuncture using needles but utilizes the same theory and points.  Acupuncture points may be stimulated with fingers (acupressure) or tuning forks (sound frequency).  This service is provided by a Naturopathic Practitioner and is billable under Naturopathic/ Naturotherapy for insurance.

The intentional active recovery sessions are developed with a trauma-informed lens.   A trauma-informed session means I offer low-intensity sessions after strenuous ones, or you may know you need a quick straight-to-the-point session. Mental fitness isn't any different than physical, active recovery is possible with your voice as part of the process.  
 
Some individuals can articulate what they need at the moment 1:1 support.  Quick check-ins during your break at work hours.
